What You’ll Do
Duck Creek Technologies is seeking a seasoned executive to serve as Vice President & General Manager, EMEA, with primary responsibility for driving sales growth across the region while serving as the senior company representative to customers, partners, and the broader market. This role owns end‑to‑end regional performance and is accountable for market expansion, revenue generation, customer satisfaction, and execution excellence.
You will lead Duck Creek’s sales strategy and go‑to‑market efforts in EMEA, shaping how we engage insurers and win large‑scale core system transformation initiatives. As the face of Duck Creek in the region, you will represent the company to senior executives across Europe, building trusted relationships and positioning Duck Creek’s cloud‑based SaaS platform against key competitors.
General Management & Regional Leadership
- Own and execute the EMEA sales strategy, ensuring strong pipeline generation, accurate forecasting, and consistent achievement of bookings and revenue targets.
- Lead enterprise sales teams across EMEA, elevating sales discipline, competitive positioning, and transformation‑led consultative engagement.
- Define and execute strategies to secure new logo wins, including competitive displacement of incumbent core platforms.
- Serve as Duck Creek’s executive sponsor for key sales pursuits, strategic accounts, and major transformation programs.
Regional Executive Presence & Market Leadership
- Act as Duck Creek’s public face in the region, representing the brand with insurers, partners, analysts, and industry associations.
- Build and maintain trusted C‑suite relationships (CEO, CIO, COO, CTO, Chief Transformation Officer) within major insurers across EMEA.
- Deliver clear, compelling executive presentations that articulate Duck Creek’s SaaS, cloud‑native, and modular value proposition.
- Stay ahead of regulatory, competitive, and modernisation trends affecting P&C insurers across the region.
Cross‑Functional Coordination (Dotted‑Line Oversight)
- Provide strong, unifying leadership for regional non‑sales functions—marketing, delivery, customer success, and operations—ensuring alignment to sales goals and customer outcomes.
- Partner closely with global product, engineering, marketing, and services leaders to localise strategy and elevate execution quality.
- Ensure Duck Creek programs and implementations are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
P&L Stewardship & Performance Management
- Own regional performance metrics spanning pipeline health, bookings, revenue, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.
- Drive accountability across sales and cross‑functional teams to meet quarterly and annual objectives.
- Provide regular executive updates on performance, risks, and strategic opportunities.
What You’ve Done
- 10+ years of senior regional leadership and/or general management experience within enterprise software; P&C insurance core systems or InsurTech background strongly preferred; Reinsurance and London Markets experience.
- Proven success selling enterprise‑scale P&C core platforms (Policy, Billing, Claims, Rating, Digital) across EMEA, with a strong network in the UK and major European markets.
- Direct experience selling and managing competitive engagements in the region.
- Demonstrated ability to win large, complex, multi‑year core system transformation programs, including RFP‑led and competitive replacement deals.
- Mastery of long‑cycle, consultative enterprise sales involving multi‑stakeholder decision processes, procurement, and board‑level approval.
- Clear track record of exceeding annual and quarterly sales and bookings targets.
- Experience building, leading, and scaling enterprise sales organisations across multiple EMEA geographies.
- Strong ability to position cloud‑first, SaaS architectures against competitor offerings and legacy platforms.
- Well‑established credibility with C‑suite executives as a trusted advisor on modernisation and digital transformation.
- Comfortable presenting technical and business‑oriented content to diverse audiences, including steering committees and boards.
- Highly competitive, results‑driven leader with resilience suited to high‑stakes enterprise pursuits.
- Strong business, financial, and emotional intelligence, with sound judgment and decision‑making capability.
- Deep understanding of cloud, SaaS, and modern enterprise architectures.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel 30–50% throughout EMEA.
