Overview

The Production Planner is responsible for supporting the Landing Gear Business with regards to scheduling of production to meet weekly/monthly targets. Liaison with Technical Records, Customer Relations and Area Managers/Team Leaders to prioritise work in progress. Chairing the weekly production meetings. They will report to Head of Landing Gear.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintenance of Landing Gear weekly and monthly production schedules
  • Maintenance of accurate up to date records of all DAL Landing Gear assets
  • Update and give regular feedback to Senior Management and Customers on production and TAT forecasts
  • Aid Head of Landing Gear in the achievement of the company objectives and setting new targets
  • Organising and administering the DALSys and Impromptu reporting
  • Be prepared to undertake other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Company from time to time

Core Competencies

  • Have good educational background.
  • Excellent ability to analyse and interpret Technical and Airworthiness data.
  • Have thorough knowledge of relevant airworthiness legislation.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all relevant computer systems as used in Dublin Aerospace.
  • A full understanding of the Company MOE and Procedures Manual.
  • Preferably have at least 3 years relevant experience in a Component/Aircraft Maintenance environment.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of Life Limiting requirements of Landing gears.
  • Be commercially aware and experienced in negotiation and be customer oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and commitment to work within budget and meet performance targets.
  • A proactive approach in the use of continuous improvement, to reduce TAT and costs.
  • Be able to multitask, set and change sectional priorities, independently assess and handle sensitive airworthiness issues and manage staff within the overall requirements of the customer.
