The role:
As Research Manager, you’ll be responsible for taking the lead on qualitative research projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring high-quality design, execution, and insight generation. With a strong grounding in quantitative research, the role balances both methodologies to deliver robust, mixed-methods solutions to clients. Acting as a key client partner, you will translate complex findings into clear and story-driven insights.
Key responsibilities:
- Mixed-Methods Expertise: Manage and deliver both qualitative and quantitative projects, drawing on experience across methodologies to address diverse client objectives.
- Client Partnership: Serve as the lead client contact, building trusted relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and proactively resolving challenges.
- Insight Development: Transform findings into story-led insights, using innovative data visualisation to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proposal & Methodology Design: Contribute to proposals by recommending the most effective methodologies to meet client objectives and budgets.
- Sales experience: A confident communicator with the ability to promote and sell research services to both existing and prospective clients.
- Strategic Problem Solving: Apply experience across multiple projects and subject areas to creatively solve problems and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support a range of team personalities, fostering collaboration and enabling individual growth.
Additional requirements:
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Market Research, ideally with experience in research with children/families
- We would require this person in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week – our offices are based in Leeds City Centre
- Must hold a valid driving license for potential fieldwork in the local area
- You must provide your own suitable workstation for working at home (IT equipment will be provided by the company)
- A successful application must carry out an enhanced DBS check and have an active DBS Update subscription for safeguarding purposes when working with children and families. This will be arranged and paid for by the Company before commencing employment.
