Our studio thrives on creativity, collaboration, and technical innovation, and we’re looking for an operationally-minded Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead us into our next chapter of growth and success.
About the Role
As an operationally-minded CTO, you will lead our studio management team and be ultimately responsible for the technological and operational excellence of the whole studio. You’ll be responsible for setting and executing the studio\’s technical vision, ensuring the success of all projects, and guiding the middle management team to deliver exceptional results.
This is a highly impactful leadership role where you will work closely with the CEO. Your challenge is to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on operational oversight, ultimately ensuring the studio\’s creative and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary leader of the studio, working closely with middle management to oversee day-to-day operations.
- Own the studio’s overall performance, balancing technical ambition with operational efficiency.
- Define and drive the studio’s technological vision and innovation roadmap.
- Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality apps and games, particularly for the Roblox platform.
- Inspire and mentor a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, and producers.
- Lead and mentor the studio management team as the technical head of our studio.
- Build and develop talent within the team, ensuring sustainable growth and skill development.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies, trends, and tools in gaming, app development, and Roblox experiences.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align the studio’s goals with the company’s overall strategy.
- Contribute to financial planning, including forecasting, budgets, and resource allocation.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years in software development, gaming, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of software development or game development, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Experience with scalable architectures, DevOps practices, and development pipelines.
- Proven experience managing teams and projects in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
- A proactive problem solver who thrives on delivering results.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Experience managing a multidisciplinary team, including technical, creative, and operational roles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in an Agency or company with global clients
- Familiarity with the Roblox platform or similar gaming ecosystems is highly desirable.
- Experience with building infrastructure in AWS
