As an Account Manager in our weather division, you will be the strategic owner of client accounts, ensuring long‑term success, partnership and revenue growth. You will serve as a consultative advisor in the aviation sector, building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding the account through cross‑selling and upselling. You are expected to identify opportunities within existing accounts, ensuring DTN’s solutions continue to meet evolving customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Ownership & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned aviation accounts.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a strategic consultant.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, challenges, and business objectives.
- Build strong, meaningful Territory & Account Plans.
- Provide proactive recommendations, introducing new solutions that add value and drive engagement.

- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by delivering top‑notch service and innovative solutions.
- Identify need to bring in additional DTN expertise and solution engineer resources for ongoing account expansion.

- Strategically introduce new products, services, and solutions that align with client goals.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to optimise client offerings.
- Negotiate contract renewals above a set threshold, ensuring continued success and profitability.
- Continuously analyse accounts for new business opportunities, leveraging industry insights and customer feedback.
- Identify potential referrals, partnerships, and expansions within existing accounts.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend solutions that differentiate DTN.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Sales preferred; or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in software and/or SaaS sales.
- 5+ years of experience in account management, consultative sales, or B2B client relations.
- Strong understanding of the aviation and weather industries.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth through cross‑selling and upselling.
- Self‑motivated, with a strategic mindset and proactive approach to account management.
- Proficiency in SFDC for tracking leads and managing pipeline.
- A consultative and professional approach to engaging with customers.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between £67,500 and £90,000 GBP. DTN is a pay‑for‑performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws.
