Founded 13 years ago, DTG has grown from a specialist Facilities Management provider into a comprehensive FM partner, now employing around 80 people. We are looking for an experienced Environmental Operative to play a key role in supporting and delivering high environmental standards across our sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to take ownership of environmental compliance at site level. The successful candidate will help promote a strong environmental culture and contribute to continuous improvement in environmental performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery and equipment as required, ensuring adherence to health, safety and quality.
  • Assist in site setup and the completion of tasks to complete works to a high standard.
  • Quality Assurance: Report and communicate any defects or issues that could affect the quality or delay in the completion of works.
  • Machinery Management: Assist with inventory counts and machinery checks. Report any damages to the team leader or supervisor.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Participate in safety training and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve goals. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, vegetation management, invasive weed removal or arboriculture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with specific machinery or tools relevant to the role is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
