A mid-sized organisation is looking to appoint a Lead Microsoft 365 Developer to play a key role in the design and delivery of digital solutions across the business. This is a hands-on technical role with a strong leadership element. You’ll be responsible for building enterprise-grade solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform and wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem, while also providing technical direction, mentoring other developers, and helping shape standards and best practice.
The role sits within a collaborative IT function and offers genuine ownership over solutions from initial design through to deployment and ongoing support.
You’ll act as the technical lead for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform development, working closely with business stakeholders, analysts and other engineers to deliver secure, scalable and user-focused solutions. This role blends solution design, hands-on development and technical leadership.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, developing and implementing applications using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate and Dataverse
- Leading integrations across Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive
- Building and managing integrations with external systems using APIs, Microsoft Graph and Azure services
- Owning solution design, architecture and technical documentation
- Ensuring solutions meet security, accessibility and data protection standards (GDPR, WCAG, DLP)
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines, version control and environment strategies
- Monitoring performance and availability across platforms
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other developers
- Setting standards and best practices for Power Platform and low-code development
- Advising stakeholders on technical solutions and design approaches
- Exploring emerging Microsoft technologies including Copilot Studio and AI capabilities

- Good knowledge of Dataverse, Microsoft Graph and Azure services
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Power Fx, HTML, CSS or similar
- Experience integrating third-party systems using REST APIs and custom connectors
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features
- Experience working in Agile environments with DevOps practices
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor others
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
