AI Engineer needed by this prestigious International Law firm to own and develop its generative AI capability. This is a rare opportunity to be the person who builds, runs and evolves the AI stack at a firm with a genuinely elite reputation. You’ll have ownership of the firm’s GenAI applications (including ChatGPT Enterprise, M365 Copilot and others), develop new AI-backed tools and workflows, and work directly with partners and leadership to identify where AI can make a real difference to how the firm operates.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the firm’s GenAI platform – deployment, maintenance, optimisation, and vendor relationships
  • Building AI-backed applications including assistants, copilots, agents and document workflows
  • Implementing RAG capabilities and integrating LLMs via APIs and SDKs
  • Managing AI governance – acceptable use, auditability, risk mitigation (prompt injection, data leakage, hallucination)
  • Monthly reporting on model performance, cost and usage across the firm
  • Training and guiding staff on effective use of AI tools
  • Evaluating and recommending new tools as the market evolves

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years in an AI or GenAI engineering role, ideally in legal or professional services
  • Strong working knowledge of the major foundational models – GPT, Gemini, Claude, Llama
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM API/SDK integration
  • Understanding of AI risk and security – you know what prompt injection looks like and how to defend against it
  • Solid Microsoft stack knowledge – Azure, Entra AD, M365
  • Someone comfortable presenting to and working alongside senior stakeholders
  • Relevant AI certifications (Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Generative AI) are a plus but not essential – what matters more is what you’ve actually built and shipped.
