We’re working with a leading professional services firm to find an AI Software Engineer to join their in-house AI Lab. This is a core technical role - the person who helps design and build the foundation that AI solutions are built on. Engineering depth, systems thinking, quality.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll contribute to system design and feasibility assessments for new AI initiatives.
- Help maintain and evolve development and coding standards across the Lab.
- Implement enterprise integration patterns that connect AI solutions to the wider technology ecosystem securely and at scale.
- You’ll build automation frameworks that improve the speed and reliability of development, testing and deployment.
- Participate in technical reviews.
- Design and develop AI solutions end-to-end across the Lab’s core platforms.
- Produce clear technical documentation.
- Support junior engineers with day-to-day guidance and code review.
What they’re looking for:
- Solid experience designing and delivering AI or data-driven solutions in a professional context, with involvement in architectural or system-level decisions.
- Working knowledge of enterprise AI platforms - Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry or equivalent - or the ability to get up to speed quickly.
- Strong software engineering principles: system design, API and integration patterns, security fundamentals.
- Python and SQL in practice, across both code-first and low-code platforms.
- Comfortable in governance and compliance-aware environments.
- Clear technical communicator — documentation and diagrams accessible to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
