About the role
This is a unique opportunity to join the London office of DTEK. As one of the largest integrated energy companies in the CEE region, DTEK operates across a wide range of energy sectors, including electricity, gas, and renewable energy. We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees across our international operations. Working within a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment, you will partner with teams in the UK while closely collaborating with colleagues across Ukraine and the EU. The role requires the ability to navigate diverse cultural, regulatory, and organizational contexts while ensuring alignment with the company's people strategy and corporate standards.
As the primary HR partner to the business, you will provide practical solutions to employee-related matters, support organizational effectiveness, and drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and help maintain DTEK International Limited as an employer of choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to business leaders and employees across international operations.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with managers on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Support the implementation of corporate HR policies, processes, and programs while ensuring alignment with local requirements and market practices.
- Collaborate with specialist HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and HR Operations.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture-related initiatives.
- Support organizational change and transformation projects across multiple jurisdictions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the organization and across various cultural environments.
- Ensure HR solutions balance business priorities, employee needs, and local regulatory requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support informed people-related decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner, People Partner, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of core HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and HR administration.
- Experience working within international and culturally diverse organizations.
- Proven ability to balance corporate requirements with local realities, including regulatory, cultural, and operational considerations.
- Experience supporting business leaders through organizational change and complex people-related challenges.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Fluent English and Ukrainian, both written and spoken.
