This is a full-time on-site role located in Bideford. The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for electrical testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and testing electrical engineering systems. The Commissioning Engineer will work closely with other delivery teams and clients to ensure that the projects are delivered on time and to the client's specifications.
Duties:
- Liaise with design and installation teams for smooth execution of commissioning plans
- Undertake commissioning activities and populate associated documentation
- Monitor quality of installation work
- Fault finding and fault diagnosis
- Represent the company on Factory Acceptance Tests
- Research, review and interrogate technical design documentation and drawings
- Assist the project delivery team with relevant project close-out procedures
Key Skills:
- Hold electrical industry relevant qualifications
- Background in commissioning of complex systems and process plants
- Strong proficiency in computer literacy, especially Excel and Word
- Confident in reviewing and having input with design packages
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Experience:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to translate commissioning experience and integrate it with successful project delivery
- Familiarity with working within the water industry would be beneficial
- High level of organisation which can be relayed to site installation teams in a positive manner
