As ESG continues to gain importance across the private equity sector, DTCP is strengthening its ESG capabilities across both investment platforms. We are seeking a motivated ESG Intern to support the ESG team and gain hands-on exposure to ESG work in a global private equity environment.
Role Overview
This internship offers the unique opportunity to learn how ESG is applied in practice within private equity: from portfolio-level data collection and monitoring to internal reporting and value creation. You will support ESG initiatives across DTCP's portfolio, contribute to ESG data analysis and reporting, and assist with the preparation of DTCP's Sustainability Report.
You will work closely with the ESG team and collaborate with investment professionals and other internal stakeholders, gaining practical exposure to ESG implementation and reporting in an international investment firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data, identifying trends and insights across portfolio companies
- Contribute to the drafting and preparation of DTCP's Sustainability Report, as well as ESG reports, presentations, and briefing materials
- Assist in the development and implementation of ESG strategies, policies, and sustainability initiatives
- Engage with internal teams and portfolio companies to gather, structure, and consolidate ESG-related information
- Monitor and track the progress of ESG initiatives, supporting ongoing performance monitoring and reporting
- Provide ad-hoc support on ESG research and regulatory topics
What we're looking for
- Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills
- Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving skills
- Strong data analysis skills, including experience working with ESG or sustainability-related datasets
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English required, German is a plus
- Genuine interest in ESG, sustainability, private equity, and digital infrastructure
- Previous internship or practical experience in sustainable finance, ESG, or sustainability consulting is strongly preferred
