The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Corporate Actions Testing Team, the Corporate Actions Testing IC Associate supports User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Corporate Actions. Corporate Actions UAT at DTC consists of support for the following functions: Voluntary & Mandatory Reorganization, Issuer Services, Principal & Interest, Cash / Stock Distributions, International Dividends & US Tax Operations. The Corporate Actions Testing IC Associate demonstrates an aptitude for technology and working with financial systems. The role requires the individual to work with operations and development teams to write appropriate testing scripts and execute testing and reporting/remediation. The individual is a detail-oriented, methodical professional who will apply excellent communication skills in collaborating with team members. They will demonstrate a willingness to learn and advance their knowledge of software testing and quality assurance best practices with an added focus on automation. Requires knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle model (SILC), Agile and Waterfall methodologies, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and JIRA reporting for issues. The individual will need in-depth knowledge of Corporate Actions.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and understands business requirements
  • Develops test plans and cases via ALM
  • Reviews test plans/cases with collaborators, acquires approval
  • Executes test cases required for end-to-end testing on distributed and/or mainframe test environments
  • Discovers, reports and tracks defects via JIRA
  • Participates, takes ownership of workload, ensures deliverables are met while adhering to critical timeframes with the ability to handle complicated priorities on projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Stays current on changes in their own specialist area and seeks out learning opportunities to ensure knowledge is up-to-date.
  • Requires a functional understanding of distributed and/or mainframe test environments
  • Strong knowledge of Corporate Actions and the securities industry in general
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of the entire software implementation lifecycle (SILC)
