The Impact you will have in this role:
The Business Analyst Associate Director is a senior Business Analyst role within the Enterprise Client Operations (ECO) Department, responsible for leading complex business analysis across operational readiness and client-impacting technical change initiatives. The role acts as a strategic bridge between stakeholders, data, technology teams and operational execution, setting the direction for business analysis activities and translating complex business and technical requirements into clear deliverables, analysis outputs and decision-ready insights. The position also provides direct line management, coaching and leadership for the Business Analyst team and is accountable for the development, quality and continuous improvement of the BA capability.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead complex BA workstreams across high-impact operational readiness and client-impacting technical change initiatives, particularly where multiple business lines, ECO functions, Technology teams or dependencies need to be aligned
- Shape analysis and delivery approach for ambiguous or technically complex initiatives, defining how data, requirements, process design, client tracking capabilities and reporting will support successful outcomes
- Own requirements analysis for complex business and technical changes, gathering, analysing and validating requirements and converting them into practical delivery actions and recommendations
- Lead data acquisition, validation and insight by coordinating extracts from key stakeholders, challenging data quality, resolving inconsistencies and ensuring outputs are complete, controlled and decision-ready
- Develop client tracking capabilities including client analysis, tracking datasets, exception reporting and reporting outputs that provide transparency across client impact, readiness, progress and risk
- Conduct complex Operations Impact Assessments documenting outcomes in alignment materials, identifying operational readiness deliverables and capturing required tasks, dependencies and updates in JIRA
- Lead operational process design by documenting end-to-end processes, defining ownership, confirming hand-offs and ensuring deliverables are embedded for transition to BAU
- Own Operational Readiness UAT approach by defining test coverage, creating test scripts, coordinating operational users and ensuring outcomes are evidenced and ready for implementation or closure
- Influence senior stakeholders by presenting clear analysis, options and recommendations that support decisions, escalation management and delivery confidence
- Line manage Business Analysts including day-to-day prioritisation, coaching, development planning, performance input, workload balancing and quality oversight of BA outputs
- Own BA capability development by defining standards, methodologies and ways of working, improving role clarity, strengthening data quality controls and driving continuous improvement across the BA function

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience, including business analysis, data analysis, project delivery, operational readiness, and complex cross-functional change initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (master’s, MBA, or equivalent experience) is a plus.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred
- Previous direct line management, coaching or formal people leadership experience
- Business analysis certification such as BCS Business Analysis, IIBA CBAP, or equivalent preferred
- PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related delivery certification beneficial
