About The Role
At DTC, this is a high-impact opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer, with a strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing, to take ownership of supplier quality across our global manufacturing network. This role is focused on ensuring that our external manufacturing partners consistently meet required process and quality standards, with a particular emphasis on PCB assembly. You will play a key role in both onboarding new suppliers and driving continuous improvement across existing partners. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues, reduce defect escape, and improve supplier performance. This includes leading supplier audits, managing corrective actions, and implementing robust quality systems where they may not yet exist. This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to someone who enjoys building and shaping processes in a growing environment. There is a clear opportunity to expand your influence into broader internal quality activities and make a lasting impact on how supplier quality is managed at DTC. The role will involve regular travel to supplier sites in the UK and internationally, including regions such as Malaysia and the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading supplier qualification, auditing, and ongoing performance monitoring
- Driving supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conducting root cause analysis using structured methodologies such as 8D and 5 Whys
- Reviewing and approving manufacturing processes, work instructions, and inspection plans
- Managing non-conformances, deviations, and CAPA activities
- Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) and supplier documentation reviews
- Defining and tracking supplier quality KPIs
- Partnering cross-functionally to resolve production and quality challenges
We are looking for someone proactive and self-driven, who is comfortable operating in a less structured environment and motivated by the opportunity to build and improve systems from the ground up.
Why Work at DTC
We celebrate and recognise success, take pride in our culture, and enjoy working alongside highly skilled colleagues on ground-breaking technology that fuels the continued success of the business. We offer a flexible working environment, competitive salaries, a great benefits package, and ensure that our Engineers receive world-class training and development. Successful applicants will need to be able to undergo Security Clearance, however employment can commence prior to this being obtained.
