We are seeking an experienced MEP / Electrical Project Manager to join a growing project delivery team operating within the data centre and critical infrastructure sectors. This role will take responsibility for the safe, commercial, technical and operational delivery of electrical and MEP packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. The successful candidate will have experience delivering complex building services installations and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on fast-paced projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager looking to work on large-scale mission critical, commercial or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of electrical and MEP packages from inception through to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams.
- Manage project planning, sequencing and progress reporting.
- Monitor labour, productivity and programme performance.
- Chair and attend client, subcontractor and coordination meetings.
- Oversee procurement schedules and material management.
- Manage technical queries, RFIs and design coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
- Produce progress reports, look-aheads and commercial updates.
- Support commissioning activities, snagging and final handover.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or MEP Project Manager.
- Previous experience delivering building services projects.
- Data centre, critical infrastructure, commercial or industrial project experience desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and MEP installations.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work packages.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage programmes and project delivery milestones.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems.
Desired Qualifications
- SMSTS or equivalent.
- CSCS Management Card.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent).
- First Aid qualification desirable.
- IOSH or NEBOSH desirable.
