This is a hands-off supervisor role working with a turnkey solution Data Centre specialist. Great team, looking to add another pair of hands to their operation.

Operational & Supervisory Duties:

  • Act as the main point of contact between site teams, contractors, and management.
  • Ensure daily site progress is recorded and communicated effectively.
  • Liaise with other trades to ensure a smooth workflow and avoid delays.
  • Monitor and coordinate the installation of containment, cabling, and terminations.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment are available on-site as needed.
  • Oversee the correct handling, storage, and installation of fibre optic, copper, and data cabling.
  • Assist with quality checks and signoffs for completed work.
  • Support and ensure the correct labelling, testing, and documentation of all installed connectivity.
  • Ensure as-built documentation, redline drawings, and test results are updated and submitted on time.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee and enforce the use of PPE and correct working practices.
  • Carry out Toolbox Talks, DABs (Daily Activity Briefings), and Safety Stand Downs as required.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems (e.g., confined spaces, hot works, working at height).
  • Conduct site safety walks and inspections, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Report and investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents, implementing corrective actions where needed.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Attend site meetings and report on progress, challenges, and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the client, project managers, and engineers to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate programme schedules and required actions to the team.
  • Escalate site issues or technical problems to management, as necessary.

General Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs and progress reports.
  • Ensure all operatives hold valid certifications and are assigned appropriate tasks.
  • Assist in audits and compliance checks for quality assurance.
  • Support the handover process, ensuring all required documentation is complete.
