Mechanical Supervisor – Data Centre Project

Opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major data centre project.
We are seeking candidates with previous experience working within mission-critical or data centre environments, supervising mechanical installation works and specialist HVAC systems.
This is a long-term opportunity to join a high-performing project team delivering complex mechanical services within a fast-paced critical environment.
The Role
The Mechanical Supervisor will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of mechanical installation works on site, ensuring safety, quality and programme requirements are consistently achieved.
Typical responsibilities will include
- Supervising mechanical subcontractors and direct labour.
- Overseeing HVAC installation works.
- Managing ductwork, pipework, chilled water and associated mechanical services.
- Coordinating installation activities with electrical and construction teams.
- Monitoring progress against programme.
- Ensuring work is delivered safely and to specification.
- Carrying out toolbox talks and site briefings.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Managing quality inspections and snagging activities.
- Supporting commissioning and handover activities.
Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor.
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services.
- Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical information.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Experience working to demanding programmes and project deadlines.

- Gold JIB-PMES Supervisor Card
- CSCS Gold Supervisor Card
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
- Relevant mechanical qualifications.
- First Aid qualification desirable.
