We are looking for a commercially driven and strategic Senior Business Development Manager – Consumer & Retail to help shape the future growth of our Contract Logistics business. This is an opportunity to play a key role in expanding DSV's presence across the Consumer & Retail sector by winning major new business opportunities and building long-term customer partnerships.

You will be responsible for delivering profitable new business growth across the Consumer & Retail sector. You will identify, develop, and convert strategic sales opportunities while positioning DSV as a trusted supply chain partner for some of the market's most recognised brands. Working closely with Operations, Solutions Design, Finance, IT, and Implementation teams, you will lead complex sales opportunities from initial customer engagement through to contract award and implementation handover.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering agreed revenue and profitability targets within the Consumer & Retail sector.
  • Developing and executing targeted business development strategies aligned to DSV's commercial objectives.
  • Building, managing, and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Developing relationships with senior decision-makers across Retail, Consumer Goods, FMCG, Fashion, Lifestyle, and E-Commerce organisations.
  • Leading customer engagement, opportunity qualification, solution development, tender management, and contract negotiations.
  • Managing strategic opportunities from prospect identification through to implementation handover.
  • Coordinating tender responses, RFIs, RFPs, and commercial submissions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop compelling customer solutions.
  • Representing DSV at industry events, conferences, and customer forums.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline and opportunity reporting through CRM systems.

What We're Looking For

You are a commercially focused business development leader with a proven ability to win complex logistics and supply chain opportunities. You'll bring:

  • A successful track record in business development, contract logistics, or supply chain solutions sales.
  • Demonstrated success in securing significant new business contracts within Consumer & Retail markets.
  • Experience leading complex tenders, RFIs, and RFPs.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A consultative and customer-focused sales approach.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including engagement with Director and C-Suite stakeholders.
  • The ability to navigate and influence within a matrix organisation.
  • Graduate-level education or equivalent industry experience.
