Role: Operations Manager - PM Shift

Location: Mercia Park

Days: Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week

We're looking for a driven, forward thinking Operations Manager to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods at our Mercia Park facility. This is a key leadership role at the heart of our supply chain—perfect for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and wants to grow their career within DSV.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead all warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Group Audit standards.
  • Control operational costs in line with budget and forecasts.
  • Review weekly operational reports, investigate variances, and drive corrective actions.
  • Plan resource levels to meet seasonal and volume fluctuations.
  • Support recruitment and retention of warehouse staff.
  • Mentor and develop team leaders, providing clear feedback and support.
  • Ensure strong adherence to WMS processes.
  • Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters in line with company policy.
  • Build strong relationships with retail partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate business priorities clearly to warehouse teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and performance.
  • Inspire, manage, and develop warehouse leaders to achieve operational targets.
  • Set clear KPIs and regularly review performance.
  • Drive a positive, high performance culture through effective communication and leadership.
  • Implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.

About You

  • Proven senior management experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and cost management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse processes and WMS systems.
  • A track record of developing high performing teams.
  • Confident decision maker with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills, especially with spreadsheets, databases, and warehouse systems.
