As Warehouse Manager, you will lead a busy cross-dock warehouse operation handling both domestic and international freight, ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical operation, lead high-performing teams, and make a direct impact on customer service, operational excellence, and business performance.

  • Responsible for the overall performance, safety, compliance, and efficiency of the warehouse operation.
  • Leading warehouse operations across day, evening, and night shift activities.
  • Ensuring freight is received, sorted, scanned, cross-docked, and dispatched accurately and on time.
  • Managing warehouse flow to maximise productivity and minimise operational delays.
  • Planning labour and resources in line with daily operational volumes.
  • Driving performance against key operational and service KPIs.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Managing employee performance, attendance, development, and engagement.
  • Working closely with Transport, Planning, Customer Service, Compliance, HR, and other key stakeholders.
  • Managing labour utilisation, overtime, agency spend, and operational costs.

Strong operational leadership experience together with a passion for developing people and improving performance. Proven experience managing a busy warehouse, freight, logistics, pallet network, or cross-dock operation. Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities. A good understanding of warehouse productivity and operational performance measures. Good IT skills, including Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications. International freight experience. CPC or other logistics-related qualification.
