Main Purpose of the role

A Customer Service Admin role in the international export department has become available at DSV Road Ltd, Purfleet. The role will focus on supporting our European partners with enquiries and do order management on bookings from our UK based customers.

The person we are looking for must be a good communicator, have a positive outlook and a clear focus on high job quality. The successful candidate, who will be reporting to the customer service supervisor, will be responsible for dealing with bookings from UK customers and handling day-to-day enquiries related to UK export shipments, investigating issues and liaising with other internal departments within DSV UK.

The applicant must be proactive, organised and punctual, inquisitive and motivated as well as have good attention to detail. We are looking for a person who can add extra quality to our already highly skilled team and is interested in providing an excellent service to all customers of DSV.

What will you be doing?

  • Timely and effective communication with customers, partners and internal departments via e-mail/telephone.
  • Updating / verifying the DSV Order Management System with customer booking details and customs details.
  • Liaise with operations and overseas offices to ensure customer commitments are delivered upon.
  • Effective monitoring to ensure deliveries are completed within the agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that all collection consignments conform to correct information.
  • Pro-active problem solving with customers and colleagues when issues arise.
  • Comply with and understand customs regulations when transporting freight from the UK.
  • Resolve Credit Management Queries where necessary.
  • General Day to Day administrative duties.
