A Customer Service Admin role in the international export department has become available at DSV Road Ltd, Purfleet. The role will focus on supporting our European partners with enquiries and on order management of bookings from our UK based customers. The successful candidate, reporting to the customer service supervisor, will handle bookings from UK customers and day‑to‑day enquiries related to UK export shipments, investigate issues and liaise with other internal departments within DSV UK. The applicant must be proactive, organised, punctual, inquisitive, motivated and possess strong attention to detail. We seek a person who can add extra quality to our highly skilled team and is interested in providing excellent service to all DSV customers.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and effective communication with customers, partners and internal departments via e‑mail/telephone.
  • Updating / verifying the DSV Order Management System with customer booking details and customs details.
  • Liaise with operations and overseas offices to ensure customer commitments are delivered on time.
  • Effective monitoring to ensure deliveries are completed within the agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that all collection consignments contain correct information.
  • Pro‑active problem solving with customers and colleagues when issues arise.
  • Comply with and understand customs regulations when transporting freight from the UK.
  • Resolve Credit Management Queries where necessary.
  • General day‑to‑day administrative duties.
