We are looking to recruit an experienced and proficient Local Distribution Planner to work within our busy Avonmouth Operation. You will be planning the routing of 30-40 multi drop vehicles. The person we are looking for must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on delivering high quality and performance.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for the route allocation of 30-40 multi drop vehicles
- Working with our 3rd party transport providers to plan and allocate deliveries and collections
- Communicating with internal and external Customers, Drivers, Suppliers, and other DSV Hubs
- Producing a month end financial and service result
- Work with warehouse and other internal colleagues to provide the best service possible
- Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
About You
- Previous experience as a planner with multi drop experience
- An excellent understanding of Domestic HGV driving legislation and load capacities, Driver’s Hours and Transport Regulations
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the area
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task under pressure and problem solve
- Experience of working with department KPI’s i.e. CPVD (Cons per vehicle day)
