Main Purpose of the role
DSV are seeking a Freight Forwarder to join our busy, fast paced Gateway department. Your role will be to carry out daily tasks on the imports.
What will you be doing?
- Monitoring international freight shipments from inception to delivery, guaranteeing adherence to service level and operational protocols
- Operate Customer Service based on day-to-day operations
- Monitoring Data Quality and Live Updates
- Issuing documentation including master bills, house bills of lading and ensuring compliance with import/export customs regulations
- Communicating with our extensive network and carrier partners across the globe
- Day-to-day problem solving
- Supporting the team in the daily task and reaching the daily deadlines and KPIs
- Assist management with ongoing tasks
About You
- Be customer-focused with dedication in your service to deliver high quality service.
- Ability to maintain positive mind-set when working under pressure, re-prioritising workload where necessary
- Be reliable with the ability to multitask and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy.
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly as required. Knowledge to CW1 would be preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal/written with a polite, courteous, and professional telephone manner.
- Previous knowledge of international freight shipments and knowledge of customs would be preferred
