DSV has an excellent opportunity to join our Bristol branch as an Import Healthcare Specialist. This is a great chance for someone with experience within freight forwarding to expand and develop their skills in a dynamic and growing organization.
Location: Bristol (BS11 0YH)
Hours: Mon‑Fri 9am‑5pm
What will you be doing?
- Monitor and confirm air & sea UK arrivals
- Request clearance and delivery instructions
- Ensure accurate Cost and Revenue estimates are made against jobs
- Comply with Company policies and procedures
- Ensure knowledge and compliance with “Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for Pharmaceutical Products” as defined in the company quality policies
- Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their quotations and traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions
- Adherence to customer and internal SOPs
- Liaison with consignee and overseas network (imports) reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements
- Effectively communicate with the DSV warehouse, transport and gateway teams to make warehouse and delivery arrangements
About You
- Excellent IT skills
- Recent previous experience of a similar role in the freight forwarding industry
- Good communication skills with colleagues at all levels as well as external customers
- Ensure legislative compliance in all areas
- Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements, including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment
- Knowledge of “Good Distribution Practices (GDP)” would be a bonus
