Main Purpose of the role
DSV are recruiting for an Operator, Inventory Clerk at Thrapston. This role will provide a customer-focused administration service on selected accounts. Working directly with the client’s customer service team to achieve delivery targets on orders as per customer requirements. Reporting to the Inventory Supervisor, this role will be responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure inventory accuracy as well as ensuring that the operation runs as efficiently and effectively as possible, with a focus on identifying process, system and stock layout improvements which will increase operational outputs.
What will you be doing?
- To action cycle count tasks to expected schedule. Initially for single contract and likely to expand to multiple customers.
- Actively work on the warehouse floor to ensure good understanding of processes.
- To take part in and assist running customer stock takes.
- To monitor and respond to customer queries.
- Conducting empty location checks.
- To provide system knowledge and troubleshoot operation.
- To thoroughly investigate all queries and adjustments prior to any action.
- To complete spot checks on Picking activities and on Goods In activities.
About You
- Ability to complete cycle counting to expected schedule and investigating variances where appropriate.
- MHE experience – VNA, RT, HLOP.
- Able to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
- Able to understand and interpret datasets.
- Able to manage and prioritise workload with ability to work to strict deadlines and timescales.
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience of using CargoWrite or Red Prairie WMS applications with training to Basic Plus level or equivalent.
