Location: Avonmouth

Hours: Mon‑Fri, 37.5 hours per week

We are looking to recruit an experienced and proficient Local Distribution Planner to work within our busy Avonmouth Operation. You will be planning the routing of 30‑40 multi‑drop vehicles. The person we are looking for must be self‑driven, results‑oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on delivering high quality and performance.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for the route allocation of 30‑40 multi‑drop vehicles
  • Work with our 3rd party transport providers to plan and allocate deliveries and collections
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, drivers, suppliers and other DSV hubs
  • Produce any reports/KPIs required
  • Produce a month‑end financial and service result report
  • Work with warehouse and other internal colleagues to provide the best service possible
  • Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures

About You

  • Previous experience as a planner with multi‑drop experience
  • Excellent understanding of domestic HGV driving legislation and load capacities, driver’s hours and transport regulations
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of the area
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi‑task under pressure and problem solve
  • Experience of working with department KPIs e.g. CPVD (Cons per vehicle day)
