What will you be doing?
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll oversee a section of our warehouse, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting the management team in achieving business targets. You’ll lead a team of operatives, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and motivating your team to meet KPIs and deadlines.
- Training new operatives and supporting ongoing development.
- Maintaining accurate inventory and stock movement records.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and fostering a culture of safe working.
- Producing reports, assisting with stock takes, and planning future capacity needs.
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and transport partners, ensuring excellent communication and service delivery.
About You:
- Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop others.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Possess a proactive approach, confident in decision making.
- Good IT knowledge, including spreadsheets and warehouse systems.
- A solid understanding of health and safety requirements.
- A forklift licence and knowledge of lean techniques would be an advantage.
