Warehouse Operator
Join DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Thrapston, England, United Kingdom. Full‑time weekday AM shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload inbound and outbound shipments, receive, check, wrap and put away.
- Pick, pack and deliver stock items.
- Operate manual handling equipment and maintain health and safety standards.
- Perform quality audits, inventory checks and maintain stock integrity.
- Complete pre‑ and post‑use inspections of workplace transport.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Report incidents or accidents to the relevant manager.
Duties / Additional Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with company rules, policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Promote a professional image and maintain good working relationships.
- Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards (OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001).
- Secure work areas and prevent unauthorised access.
- Attend development training and support the company’s Investors in People standard.
Skills and Competencies
- 2 GCSEs in maths and English.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Ability to challenge health‑safety failures and suggest procedural improvements.
- Workplace transport qualifications and experience with a counterbalance/reach truck.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Strong English speaking, reading and writing skills.
- Time‑management and independent planning.
- Own transport.
