Team Lead, Warehouse (Weekends)

Job Req Number: 95644 Time Type: Full Time Team Lead – Warehouse (Weekends) DSV is recruiting for a Weekend Cover Team Lead at Mercia Park. This role will be responsible for the operation of a section within the Warehouse function. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Management Team with day-to-day warehouse operations, managing a team of operators, and ensuring efficient operations to meet business targets. Providing line management, coordinating workloads, supporting team performance, monitoring issues, and ensuring KPIs and quality standards are met. Developing the team, focusing on performance, support, safety, and fostering a positive work culture. Additional duties include: Assisting in running an efficient warehouse to meet operational and customer demands. Training new warehouse operatives. Maintaining accurate inventories and stock movements. Participating in stock takes and ensuring systems are up-to-date. Proposing system improvements and resolving warehouse issues. Producing reports, planning capacity, and ensuring health & safety standards. Managing equipment, security, cleanliness, and acting as cover for management when needed. People Management Managing attendance, communicating priorities, reporting progress, liaising with customers and suppliers, and ensuring safety and compliance. Engaging with the team, contributing to development, and participating in HR processes such as grievances and welfare meetings. Experience & Skills Proven supervisory experience, with strong communication, IT, planning, and attention to detail skills. Qualifications in warehousing, safety, or supervisory roles are advantageous. Knowledge of health & safety, security, lean techniques, and forklift operation is beneficial.
