The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Trainer is responsible for delivering high‑quality training programs to new and existing operators of material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The trainer will develop, implement, and assess training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees, promoting safe and efficient operation of MHE.
What will you be doing?
- Design and develop comprehensive training programs for various types of MHE, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and reach trucks.
- Deliver hands‑on training sessions and classroom instruction to new hires and current employees.
- Ensure training materials are up‑to‑date and in line with current regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct practical assessments and written tests to evaluate trainees’ competency.
- Issue certifications to operators who meet the required standards of proficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of training sessions and certifications.

About You
- Certified MHE trainer with recognised credentials (e.g. RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT RTITB preferred).
- Extensive experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations related to MHE.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programmes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
