We are recruiting for a Business Analyst to join our Contract Logistics Division based in either our Mercia Park or Raunds sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming operational and financial data into actionable insight that drives performance across multi-user operations, and aids business decisions. You will provide analytical support to site managers, contract teams and senior leadership, through high quality dashboards and operational reports.
What will you be doing?
- Business analysis & reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards for operational, commercial and customer reporting.
- Automate manual reporting processes to improve accuracy and timeliness.
- Design data models, DAX measures, and visualisations aligned with business and customer needs.
- Maintain reporting standards ensuring consistency across multiple UK sites.
- Produce regular KPI packs covering areas such as productivity, labour utilisation, inventory, OTIF, carrier performance, cost‑to‑serve and financial variances.
Operational Analytics
- Analyse operational performance data across multi-user sites to identify themes, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Provide insight and recommendations that support continuous improvement, cost reduction and service enhancement.
- Support contract start‑ups, transitions and operational change through robust data analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with warehouse management teams to interpret data and identify root causes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Operations, Finance, WMS, Customer Services and Commercial teams.
- Translate operational needs into BI and data requirements.
- Present insights to managers and customers in a clear, concise and commercially focused manner.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for reporting and BI within Contract Logistics.
Data Governance & Quality
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and integrity across all data sources and reporting platforms.
- Work with system owners to resolve data defects and improve data flows.
- Maintain documentation for datasets, dashboards and reporting processes.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and reduce manual work.
- Champion adoption of Power BI and data‑driven decision‑making across operational teams.
- Support Lean/CI initiatives using data to measure impact and track benefits.
About You
- Ability to interpret operational data and provide commercial insight.
- Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capability.
- Comfortable working with both high‑level summaries and detailed operational data.
- Strong Power BI development skills (data modelling, DAX, Power Query).
- High proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, power tools).
- Experience with SQL or similar query languages (preferred).
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, ETL and data pipelines.
- Ability to build automated reporting solutions.
- Ability to explain complex data to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable to communicate concisely with Senior Management.
