Main Purpose of the role

DSV are recruiting for the role of ICC Operations, overseeing all International Import, Export & UK Domestic Inbound & Outbound transport movements for our Depot in Wythenshawe. The role will include checking documentation of import arrivals, creating documentation for export trailers leaving the UK, and ensuring all HMRC documents are prepared correctly. It is also essential that the depots receive clear instructions on cargo when it is released.

What will you be doing?

  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and customers around documentation, using IT to interface with HMRC systems and monitor the clearance status of shipments.
  • Maintain records of clearance, being organised and accurate with all systems.
  • Prepare correct documentation for the Warehouse/Haulage/Distribution/Shipping department for loading/offloading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner.
  • Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
  • Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures and statutory requirements, including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Maintain awareness of and follow transport (and H.M. Customs) regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.

  • Good communication skills with colleagues and external customers.
  • Preferably some knowledge of Customs processes or systems.
  • Ability to add extra quality to our already highly focused and efficient team.
