Credit Controller
DSV is seeking a proactive Credit Controller with excellent communication skills to join our Credit Management team based in Goole, East Yorkshire. This role involves managing customer accounts and ensuring effective credit control processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with DSV Group credit management policies
- Manage approximately 600 customer accounts, chasing payments
- Coordinate with operational colleagues to resolve account issues
- Utilize company credit management and accounting systems
- Collect overdue invoices and report on high overdue accounts
- Reduce bad debt levels
- Maintain customers within credit limits and keep records updated
- Handle escalations internally and externally
- Report payment receipts to operations, especially for customs-related invoices
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous credit control experience
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable
- Team player with good organizational skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of credit control and sales ledger accounting
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP & FSCM.
Work Hours and Environment
Office-based, 9am – 5pm, with flexible hours to service the UK business environment.
