DSV are seeking an experienced Operations Manager who is a commercially driven and customer-focused professional to lead the management and development of key international accounts within our Aerospace & Defense division. The successful candidate will act as the primary interface between the customer and the DSV network, ensuring strong strategic partnerships, high service performance, and long-term business growth. The position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex international accounts within a dynamic global environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage and develop the strategy that is closely aligned to the strategic directions of both the DSV UK and Ireland Air & Sea business.
  • Support and drive commercial discussions, including rate reviews, margin monitoring, and contract alignment.
  • Ensure an efficient and effective infrastructure and resource plan (people, systems, and process) to deliver customer expectations and Branch performance targets.
  • Lead and motivate a team of dedicated employees to ensure a harmonised and sustainable service level (cross-country / cross-regional).
  • Drive supply chain improvements by applying digital technology (order management, dashboards, predictive analytics, Aerospace dedicated solutions, etc.).
  • Identify and manage joint value projects to ensure win-win situations for customers and DSV.
  • Design and drive customer quarterly business reviews.

About You

  • Strong background in key account management or commercial customer management.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to support rate discussions and margin control.
  • Previous knowledge of budgeting and forecasting to develop financial plans and strategies.
  • Man-management skills to motivate and lead employees.
