We are looking for a confident and people‑focused HR Supervisor to lead our HR Service Desk and play a key role in delivering an excellent employee experience. In this role, you will manage a team of six HR Service Desk Assistants who provide first‑line HR support to employees and managers. You will ensure HR queries are resolved efficiently, onboarding runs smoothly, and service standards are consistently met, all while driving continuous improvement across HR operations.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and support the HR Service Desk, ensuring timely, accurate, and high‑quality HR support
- Act as the first escalation point for complex or sensitive HR queries, working closely with HR Partnering teams
- Monitor workload, trends, SLAs, KPIs, and service quality, escalating risks or issues where needed
- Coach, develop, and performance‑manage your team, promoting a culture of service excellence and learning
- Oversee case management, compliance, and data confidentiality, supporting audits as required
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies in collaboration with senior HR leaders
- Support HR systems enhancements and take part in UAT when required
- Work closely with Payroll, IT, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and line managers to ensure joined‑up HR delivery
About You
- Previous experience supervising or managing an HR operations/shared‑services team
- Excellent knowledge of HR processes, policies, and employment legislation
- A customer‑focused mindset with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Confident managing escalations, priorities, and competing workloads
- A passion for developing people and improving how HR services are delivered
