An on-site Admin Assistant role has become available at DSV Road Ltd, Purfleet. The role will focus on supporting our internal stakeholders and executing various administrative tasks which support the handling of road freight shipments. The person we are looking for must be a good communicator, have a positive outlook and a clear focus on high job quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for and deal with day-to-day queries within our Road freight division, investigating issues and liaising with other internal departments within DSV UK.
What will you be doing?
- Timely and effective communication with partners and internal departments via e-mail/telephone
- Updating/verifying the DSV Transport Management System with customer booking details
- Liaise with operations and overseas offices to ensure customer commitments are delivered upon
- Effective daily monitoring to ensure collections and deliveries are completed within the agreed timelines
- Pro-active problem solving with customers and colleagues when issues arise
- Comply with and understand basic customs regulations when transporting freight to/from the UK
- General day-to-day administrative duties
