At dss+, you don’t just deliver projects - you help save lives, improve performance, and build a more sustainable future. We are a purpose-led global consultancy partnering with organisations in high-risk and asset-intensive industries to solve complex operational challenges across safety, operational excellence, and sustainability.

We are seeking a senior learning and capability professional to design and deliver capability-building solutions that support client transformation programs. This role focuses on creating practical, scalable learning experiences and systems that help people build skills, change behaviours, and improve performance on the job.

You will work with clients and consulting teams to design capability programs such as learning academies, competency models, role-based learning journeys, performance support resources, and measurement approaches. You will help ensure that learning is connected to business priorities and embedded into day-to-day operations rather than delivered as stand-alone training.

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant responsibility for solution design, client engagement, and contribution to the growth of our learning and capability offering. You can be based in the UK, UAE or US; however, the role has a 50% requirement for international travel.

Your Impact at dss+

  • Design and deliver enterprise learning and capability solutions for client transformation programs.
  • Build role-based learning journeys, competency frameworks, assessments, and curriculum architectures.
  • Create learning approaches that include formal learning, on-the-job reinforcement, coaching, and performance support.
  • Partner with client stakeholders and consulting teams to align capability solutions to business goals, operational needs, and workforce outcomes.
  • Apply strong instructional design practices, including clear learning objectives, assessment strategies, and evaluation methods.
  • Develop scalable, reusable tools, templates, and content structures that improve consistency and quality across engagements.
  • Support pilot launches, implementation planning, and continuous improvement of capability programs.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and business impact, and use insights to refine solutions.

What You’ll Experience at dss+

  • Be part of a values-led organisation where your work helps save lives, improve performance, and advance sustainability for our clients and their people.
  • Work on complex, high-impact transformation programmes, shaping how organisations build capability at scale.
  • Join a collaborative and inclusive environment where your expertise is valued and your thinking shapes our solutions.
  • Play a key role in developing our global Learning & Capability offering, with opportunities to contribute across regions and industries.

Who You Are

You bring deep expertise in learning strategy, instructional design, and capability development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality outcomes in complex environments. You combine this expertise with a curious, problem-solving mindset, and are comfortable working with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into practical solutions.

You also bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in learning & development, instructional design, capability building, or organisational development.
  • Strong foundation in adult learning, curriculum design, and learning evaluation methodologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-level capability programmes.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environments and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in consulting, transformation, or client-facing environments (preferred).
  • Interest or experience in behaviour change, leadership development, or organisational psychology (advantageous).

Growth & Benefits

We invest in your development and success through opportunities to shape and scale global capability and learning solutions, collaboration with senior experts and cross-functional teams, exposure to international projects and diverse industries, competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and comprehensive benefits, and flexible working policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering complex learning or capability programmes.
