Role Description
DSP Group is recruiting reliable and experienced CSCS and PTS Operatives to support rail, civils and construction projects across the United Kingdom.
This is a full-time, site-based role that may require travel, shift work, nights and weekends, depending on project requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting groundworks, installations, maintenance and other site activities.
- Carrying out manual handling and general operative duties.
- Working safely in accordance with site instructions, risk assessments and method statements.
- Using the correct personal protective equipment at all times.
- Following instructions from supervisors and site management.
- Reporting hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and well organised.
- Working effectively alongside colleagues, subcontractors and other site teams.
- Completing assigned tasks safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- A valid CSCS card or PTS competency appropriate to the work being undertaken.
- Previous experience working on construction, civils or rail sites.
- A good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of safe manual handling and the correct use of PPE.
- The ability to follow risk assessments, method statements and site instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.
- The physical ability to work outdoors and undertake practical site duties.
- The flexibility to work shifts, nights or weekends when required.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
Experience in groundworks, rail, demolition, fire protection or environmental services would be beneficial.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites are advantageous.
