DSM-Firmenich are recruiting a Quality Control Technician to join their Quality team based at their food manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Reporting to the Quality Manager, they will join a team of 3 colleagues to play a critical role in maintaining quality and food safety on site.

Responsibilities:
- Analytical controls on raw materials, intermediates and finished products
- Sensory control lead of raw materials and finished product
- Control of site Calibration schedule and testing
- Quality Complaints Management and Investigation
- Provide support to the Quality function through laboratory evaluations and ensure that the day-to-day quality issues are addressed to achieve food safety
- Work with other departments to ensure food safety and quality and maintain and improve standards

Qualifications:
- Qualification in Food Science or Equivalent desirable
- Lab experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and FSSC22000 systems desirable
- A good team player with the ability to make decisions under pressure and negotiate technical issues with suppliers and clients
