As a Compounder, you’ll be working to support the plant’s day-to-day operations. You’ll be supported by your team with possibilities to grow into a Manufacturing Professional and directly impact the quality of our products – helping to improve real lives.
Your key responsibilities:
- Retrieves assigned batches recipe cards and reviews information for compounding, prioritising orders with the earliest ship date first.
- Adds raw materials manually from dispensing racks, by the addition of powders or various pull cans.
- Uses the dosing cluster or mix tank dispensing stations to automatically fill certain materials to batch.
- Uses scales or load cells and pumps to also help with the addition of material ensuring proper sequence of mixing.
- Retrieves pre-mixes from automation area and adds to batch by weight.
- Ensures that batch is thoroughly mixed.
- Keeps equipment and area in proper working condition.
- Advises supervisor of any equipment issues.
- Maintains clean and safe work area, and adheres to safety regulations and procedures, understanding the hazards of handling the various chemicals.

You bring:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial work experience required; chemical compounding experience preferred.
- Minimum two years' experience of forklift driving and warehouse experience.
- Working knowledge of inventory control systems.
- Ability to handle heavy materials, including drums (lifting requirement of up to 50 lbs.).
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly range: $25.00-$29.00.
