Job model – On Site
We have 1 permanent vacancy for a Plant Electrician within the Premix Production Department working on a dayshift rotation (6.00am – 3.00pm and 09.00am – 6.00pm). There will also be a requirement to work additional hours for breakdowns, as well as one Saturday a month for maintenance.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines.
- Understanding the scope and safety issues relating to allocated work.
- Signing off the RAPTW and initiate a handover of the equipment to production.
- Manage & maintain all electrical jobs/maintenance on Ultimo.
- Scheduling work and ordering parts within maintenance budget.
- Carrying out defined work in accordance with DSMs SHEQ requirements.
- Recording relevant job history.
- Entering an accurate time recording for the job.
- Completing all relevant paperwork.

You Bring
- The successful candidate will be expected to be a time served Electrical tradesman with an ONC or equivalent through knowledge and experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in an automated environment.
- Candidates should have a proven track record of technical competence in their own area of discipline with fault finding and manual skills.
- Other essential behaviors are: good communication, flexible approach, self-starter and team player.
- Preference will be given to any person who has in-depth Ultimo experience, as well as to those with CompEX certifications.
