dsm-firmenich is recruiting for its prestigious three-year apprenticeship programme at its site in Dalry for an Administration Apprentice. A mixture of on-the-job learning and academic study, this programme is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to kick-start their career.

Your key responsibilities

  • Production of daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by the department.
  • Managing electronically the diary commitments of the departmental staff
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries, directing enquiries to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Professional production of external letters, reports and any presentations required.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation for departmental staff and visitors.
  • Maintaining an appropriate filing system for departmental data
  • Input data into SAP and other systems as required.

You bring
  • Prospective applicants will need to have or attain five passes at National 5 (including English and Maths), together with attainment or predicted to have attained one Higher in a relevant subject such as English, Maths, IT, Admin or Business.
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply the key skills required for the role e.g planning, problem solving and safety management.
  • Other key skills will include good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
For all roles you must be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, work well in a team environment, demonstrate a talent for practical skills and be prepared to make a positive contribution to the site.
A competitive salary is paid on commencement and increases annually as skills develop.
