In this high-impact role, you will serve as the in-house subject matter expert on research vendors-owning vendor relationships and driving end-to-end procurement strategy and execution. Examples of key vendors include ION Group, Pitchbook Data, Preqin Ltd, Gartner, Fitch, and Octus (Reorg). You'll lead the full lifecycle: from vendor discovery and due diligence to commercial negotiation, contract execution, license analysis, and renewal management.
This is a vendor-facing, consultative role that requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping a fast-growing business line - ideal for someone with research vendor expertise and the ambition to build and lead.
What you will do:
Own vendor relationships across research providers. Act as a subject matter expert for category of vendors for both our internal team and clientsProactively manage the renewal process for our clients with their research market data vendors and ensure timely execution of contractsDeliver tangible and measurable cost savings to our clients by utilizing key sourcing strategies including supplier consolidation, leveraged volume, competitive bidding, optimization, and fact-based negotiation techniquesAnalyze usage data to reduce waste, optimize spend, and mitigate audit riskDeliver insights and strategic recommendations, acting as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders
