The Service is currently recruiting for a Crew Manager – Control CAIT Support on a temporary basis up to the end of February 2028. This role is conditioned to the Day Duty System.

From 1 April 2024, we have introduced development rates of pay for any new individuals moving into a development or an acting-up role. These pay rates are set out by the National Joint Council.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced and qualified Firefighters and Crew Managers. Eligible applicants will need to meet the following criteria as a minimum:

  • Be a competent, substantive wholetime Firefighter
  • Working knowledge of current Vision mobilising system and been successful in the Crew Manager promotion board or be a substantive wholetime Crew Manager and have recent control experience (within the last 12 months)
  • Not subject to formal performance improvement actions, nor have any live disciplinary sanctions
