The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The Service have four Crew Manager Service Delivery posts that we are accepting expressions of interest for:

  • Temp Crew Manager - Crownhill White Watch (up to 6 months)

There will be an expectation for the appointed individual to remain in any permanent role for a minimum of 12 months, unless a promotion is obtained. Following recent guidance from HMICFRS, to support a positive working environment and maintain strong operational effectiveness, the Service will aim, where operationally possible, to avoid appointing individuals to promoted roles within their existing watch. This is not a restriction on opportunity. Anyone eligible is encouraged to apply for any role that aligns with their skills, experience, and future aspirations.

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably experienced and qualified Firefighters and Crew Managers. Eligible applicants will need to meet the following criteria as a minimum:

  • Be a competent, substantive Firefighter and been successful in the Crew Manager promotion board or be a substantive whole-time Crew Manager.
  • ITOP or Qualified L1 IC S
  • Not subject to formal performance improvement actions, nor have any live disciplinary sanctions.

The information you provide will be used to shortlist your expression of interest. From 1 April 2024, we have introduced development rates of pay for any new individuals moving into a development or an acting-up role. These pay rates are set out by the National Joint Council.
