An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Category Manager to join this rapidly growing business as they launch in the UK. This role will manage the Health & Wellness product assortment, providing the best selection of items for their UK consumers at the best price. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships to ensure the best products are offered to customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape category strategies and contribute to the growth of a new and dynamic e-commerce business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies, including pricing, promotions, and campaigns.
- Analyse metrics to identify sourcing gaps and improve supplier and category performance.
- Negotiate and manage supplier relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, validated fees, and accurate data.
- Select and curate products that match consumer demand and usage needs.
- Coordinate with international supply chain teams to secure resources and support.
- Review sales and procurement data to identify trends and improve gross margins.
- Collaborate with regional/local teams to roll out strategies effectively.
Experience required:
- Merchandising or buying experience within Health & Wellness (Nutrition, Dietary Management, First Aid, Pharmacy) or related categories.
- Deep understanding of consumers, with strong market insights and proven purchasing expertise.
- Established supplier relationships within the FMCG network in the UK.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, data sensitivity, and logical thinking.
- Effective communicator with a passion for continuous learning.
