ABOUT THE ROLE An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Merchandiser to join a vibrant and growing business based in Manchester. Due to continued success, this role has been newly created to support the product and sales teams. Reporting into the Head of Product, the Merchandiser will play a pivotal role providing insight into data, using it to increase availability, identify and highlight stock issues, understand growth opportunities and ensure these are maximised. This is a true end to end role so requires someone at the right level to step into it. It will be both hands on and strategic in equal measure. So this is an opportunity for an established up and coming candidate to step up or someone more experienced who relishes getting their sleeves rolled up. Key responsibilities will include; Stock Management, Sales Analysis, Forecasting and Purchase Order Management. ABOUT THE CANDIDATE We are looking for a merchandiser or well established Junior Merch with 4+ years experience from varying environments. You must have: A strong analytical background Ability to analyse data and use it to make actionable improvements Advanced Excel skills are essential Logical with the ability to make commercial decisions and articulate decision-making process. Experience of demand planning in a fast-moving supply chain environment. Pro-active, organised and experience of the total end to end order process and critical path management. Experience of being part of a small team, willing to be flexible, hands on and happy to work off plan, when required. Experience of Far East supplier container loading for a variety of products required Familiarity with Sage and or PowerBI would be beneficial but not essential ABOUT THE CLIENT My client is a well know and rapidly growing brand within the Homeware sector. It’s products are available globally with an ever growing portfolio. The role will be based in Manchester so ability to commute/attend the office just outside the City Center is required. SALARY Circa £30-40k Flexible depending on experience
