Multi-channel retailer require an Assistant Buyer to support the Buying team by sourcing commercially viable product ranges, that align with the company's buying strategy and market trends. You will be involved in:
- Negotiation support
- Supplier relationship management to arrange fabric and product developments
- Assisting the buyer with range building
- Review lab dips, bulk fabric and trim approval submissions
- Manage the department critical path
- Trend Analysis and market research
- Analysing buying performance data
- Preparing and presenting reports and presentations on product performance
- Sample management
Key requirements
- Experience in a commercial buying office (ideally in fashion or homeware or related products) as a Buying Assistant, Trainee or Assistant with focus on own-brand/development.
- Knowledge of the buying cycle, critical paths and sample management
- Knowledge of garment construction and fabric
- Creative flair
Salary up to £30,000. Flex start/finish times. Hybrid working - 3 days in office and 2 from home. Candidates must be based in the UK and in commuting distance to Leeds and surrounding areas or able to relocate to the area. Remote working is not available.
